Even the most skilled programmers can make numerous mistakes, while typing their code, especially if they use plain text editors. Corfu looks and feels like a simple text editor, but its syntax highlighting and suggestion features will make your work easier, when typing XML, HTML, XHTML or other types of code. You can also load your own language definitions, perform XSL transformations, create style sheets and more.

The application is absolutely free and it works on Windows 2000, as well as any later edition, up to Windows 7. If you intend to use Corfu on Windows 2000 or XP, you have to make sure that .NET Framework 2.0 or higher is installed on your computer, before running the application. The installation procedure is straightforward and it takes only a few seconds to complete.

By default, Corfu will display a blank interface. When you create a new document, you may choose between various document types on a small window. The software allows you to create XML documents and schemas, text, HTML and XHTML documents, style sheets, JavaScript Source files, CSL transformations and To-do lists.

Depending on what type of document you create, the software helps you with different suggestions, while you're typing your code. You just need to type a letter or a symbol and Corfu will display a list with numerous suggestions. For example, if you decide to work on an HTML document, the program will display tags and other HTML instructions. Commands and values are colored differently, making them easier to spot, even in a huge amount of code.

If you want to create a To-do list, you can use brackets and symbols to mark your tasks as complete, incomplete or pending. Corfu comes with a clipboard history as well. You may copy multiple items and paste them right away, without copying them a second time.
